People that stopped by could tour the exhibit, sponsor a wreath, purchase t-shirts and find out general information on the upcoming Wreaths Across America event which takes place on Saturday, December 16th.

Sponsored wreaths are placed on the grave markers at national and state veterans cemeteries and local community cemeteries each December to remember our fallen Veterans, honor those who serve, and teach our children the value of freedom. Locally, it will take place at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Allentown.

Wreath-laying ceremonies also take place at Arlington National Cemetary as well as more than 3,700 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states at sea and abroad.

I also met and spoke to 101-year-old Rosie the Riverter. She was the star of a campaign aimed at recruiting female workers for defense industries during World War II, and she became possibly the most iconic image of working women.

An interview with Rosie will be published at a later time.
