Police in Forks Township investigate animal cruelty incident

FORKS TWP., Pa - On April 20, 2024, at approximately 10:03 am, Forks Township police officers responded to the area of Frutchey Hill Road and Richmond Road for an animal complaint.


The caller reported observing a cage, covered by a white sheet, on the side of the road, according to police.



Officers arrived on the scene and observed a deceased dog, which appeared to have been deceased for an extended period, inside the cage, police say.


According to the news release, the dog was a small, brown Yorkie with a green-colored bandana around the neck.


Forks Township Police CID is investigating the incident.


Anyone with information regarding the incident or knows the owner of the dog is asked to submit a tip through CRIMEWATCH.


Tips may remain anonymous.
