Police seek help identifying individuals involved in a distraction burglary in Lehigh Twp.

LEHIGH TWP., Pa - On February 23, 2024, around 1:00 pm, Lehigh Township Police responded to Myrtle Road for the report of a distraction burglary, according to police.


Two males arrived in a white newer model Ford Pickup truck (see photos) and parked at the neighbor's house, according to police.


Police say the first male, described as a tall thin Hispanic male dressed in a hoodie with a reflective yellow vest, blue jeans, white shoes, and a baseball hat exited the vehicle and walked to the victim's house.

The male made contact with the victims and said he was from the utility company.

According to police, the male showed an ID to the victims and asked to see the electrical panel.


Police said, while the victims were with the male, the second male drove the truck to the victim's driveway. The second male then entered the residence through the front door.

One of the victims found the second male in a bedroom.


The second male was described as a Hispanic male, 5’6 to 5’8, heavy build, dressed in black clothing, and wearing a face covering, according to police.


When the victims called the police, both men left the scene in the white pickup truck.

Tips to deter a distraction burglary:

1. Do not allow a stranger in your house, unless you have an appointment.

2. Check for ID's

3. Lock all windows and doors.

4. Hide your valuables.

5. Call the police if you become suspicious.
