Police warn drivers to slow down in school zones

BETHLEHEM, PA -

Colonial Regional Police expressed their frustration over drivers speeding in the school zone in a social media post. on Monday. What they said they found even more frustrating was the fact that the speeders in the school zone were parents and staff going to the schools.

They said, "We have seen more and more vehicles coming in "hot" into the school zone and don't slow down until they need to make a turn into the parking lot to park or drop off. "

They ask that drivers please follow the posted school zone signage.

From the flashing lights all the way through until you see the "end school zone" sign, the speed limit is 15 m.p.h..

Children are in school - Please be very safe driving in school zones. Please also make sure to stop for school buses.
