Portion of Route 22 Westbound closed for extended period of time due to fatal accident

HANOVER TWP, Pa - A portion of Route 22 Westbound is shut down due to a fatal accident this evening in Northampton County.
The coroner was on the scene shortly after 11 pm, according to WFMZ News.
Early reports from dispatchers suggested that two individuals were injured, with at least one in serious condition. Emergency officials reported that several people were entrapped and one car was into the guard rail.

The call came in shortly after 9:30 p.m.
Route 22 westbound was closed between Route 512 and Schoenersville Road in Hanover Township, according to 69 News.
At around 11 pm, officials say a portion of Route 22 would remain closed for an extended period of time.
Police were seen diverting traffic off the highway at the Route 512 exit
