Principal from an Allentown middle school put on paid administrative leave after incident in city this weekend

ALLENTOWN, Pa - According to WFMZ News, a principal from an Allentown middle school has been put on paid administrative leave after an incident in the city this weekend.


Officials say effective Saturday, Stephanie Williams, the principal of Harrison-Morton Middle School, has been placed on paid administrative leave for an indefinite period, according to a message sent to the school's community.


According to WFMZ and those commenting on our Facebook page of What's going on in the Lehigh Valley, videos are circulating on social media showing Williams at an event in Allentown's Bucky Boyle Park over the weekend, appearing to act erratically.

Executive Director of Instructional Leadership Arcelius Brickhouse will serve as acting principal until further notice, according to the district.


The message stated, "We are confident that he will provide strong leadership and support to students, staff, and families in the interim."


The District says it's not able to elaborate on any further details regarding the incident due to it being a confidential matter.
