PSP identify suspect in the case of a suspicious package that prompted the evacuation of a business in Lower Macungie

LOWER MACUNGIE TWP., Pa - The Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) Troop M Fogelsville Criminal Investigation Unit has identified the suspect in the case of a suspicious package that prompted the evacuation of a business on Monday.


According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the suspect is identified as being from Oklahoma.



There is no danger to the public and the investigation is ongoing, according to the state police.


On Monday, March 25, 2024, at approximately 1:12 pm, Troopers from PSP Fogelsville were dispatched to Ryder Logistics, located at 8620 Congdon Hill Drive, Lower Macungie Township, Lehigh County for a package that was delivered, through the mail room, that appeared suspicious, according to Trooper Nathan Branosky of the Pennsylvania State Police.


Upon an employee opening the package, there was another package with writing and threats on the package, and the package was taken outside the business.


All employees of the business were evacuated with the assistance of the management and Troopers.


Upon further investigation, it was determined the suspicious package did not pose a threat, according to Branosky.


Spring Creek Road was closed at State Route 100 until approximately 4:00 pm.
