Only experienced ice climbers and hikers who sign in/out with the office and have the minimum required equipment are permitted into the trail system. Minimum required equipment: Crampons (not micro spikes), ice axe, rope.

The Glen Leigh side of the Falls Trail between F.L. Ricketts Falls and Ozone Falls remains CLOSED TO ALL HIKERS, including those who have registered with the proper equipment due to the hazardous rock ledge collapse that the park is working on remediating. This means that for registered hikers a full loop of the system is not currently possible, you will need to backtrack your route.

The lower portion of the trail remains open for the time being from the Route 118 trailhead up to Waters Meet. 4 falls are able to be seen on this portion. This will remain open until ice starts to form on this section and it will then be closed with the rest of the trail. We will update this post when this happens.
