Route 22 West reopens after fatal motorcycle crash in Easton on Saturday

Route 22 Westbound has reopened following a fatal hit-and-run accident involving a motorcycle on Saturday.
A crash involving a motorcycle took place around 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, according to Northampton County Communications. It took place near the 13th Street exit in Easton on Route 22.
The driver of the motorcycle was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries and later passed away.

The lanes were temporarily closed while police were investigating.
According to a press release, the Easton Police Accident Investigation Team was activated and is currently investigating the crash with assistance from the Northampton County Coroner's Office
It's not clear if the alleged hit-and-run driver is still on the loose. Police have not named a suspect.
