Route 309 ramp to Tilghman Street to close starting next week for ongoing reconstruction project

The Route 309 southbound ramp to Tilghman Street in South Whitehall Township will be closed starting next week.
According to PennDOT, the ramp will be closed on Tuesday and is expected to reopen by September 1st.
According to the news release, the closure is part of an ongoing reconstruction project at the intersection there.
Traffic will detour by continuing on Route 309 south to the Interstate 78 eastbound merge, then exit onto Route 222 eastbound before re-entering Interstate 78 westbound and quickly exiting onto Route 309 north to the Tilghman Street exit.
