Saucon Valley School District closed Wednesday due to bomb threat

LOWER SAUCON TWP., Pa - Saucon Valley School District in Northampton County is closed Wednesday due to a bomb threat made towards the district, according to the police.

Police in Lower Saucon Township Police say they were contacted in reference to a bomb threat made towards the Saucon Valley School district and supported the school's decision to close the school campus today, according to the news release.

Police say there is a collaborative effort between the police department and the school district to ensure the safety of the students and staff of Saucon Valley School District.

No further information will be provided at this time In an effort to not impact the ongoing investigation, according to police.
