Seven juveniles in Berks County charged with impersonating police

BETHEL TWP., Pa. — A group of juveniles in Berks County were allegedly trying to impersonate the police over the weekend, according to a WFMZ News report.


Bethel Township Police say there were a pair of reports Saturday night involving an older car resembling a police vehicle that tried to pull over cars near Lancaster Avenue and Mill Road in Tulpehocken Township, and then the 7800 block of Lancaster Avenue in Bethel Township, according to the article by WFMZ.



The reports involved a 2006 black Ford Crown Victoria with LED lights, a spot light and siren.


Police say they were able to track down the vehicle, which was occupied by seven juveniles.


A pair of handcuffs were inside the car, according to the article.


The juveniles admitted to conducting at least one traffic stop, according to WFMZ, and were released to their parents.


They are facing juvenile charges.
