Skydiver gets stuck in tree at Pennridge Airport



PERKASIE, PA


A skydiver was stuck in a tree, 35 feet above the ground earlier this afternoon at Pennridge Airport.


Sellersville Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to assist Perkasie Fire Company. with the rescue. The skydiver was entangled in the parachute and tree limbs.

After ensuring that air traffic was halted, the Tower was able to secure a position where the crew could reach the patient, according to the fire company.


The patient was removed from the parachute harness and safely lowered to the ground via the tower bucket where an EMS crew provided an evaluation of the patient's condition.
