St Luke's D&L RaceFest expected to draw nearly 1,500 participants this weekend in the Lehigh Valley

ALLENTOWN, PA -

The St. Luke’s D&L RaceFest scheduled for Sunday, November 12 is expected to draw nearly 1,500 participants.

RaceFest is a four-race collection of running and walking events that traverse the heart of the Lehigh Valley: St. Luke’s D&L Marathon, St. Luke’s D&L Marathon Relay, D&L Heritage Half Marathon Run, and D&L Heritage Half Marathon Walk.

All events will utilize significant portions of the D&L Trail.

The marathon course spans 26.2 miles from Allentown to Easton, while the 13.1-mile Heritage Half starts in Historic Bethlehem and concludes at the same finish line in Easton.

The proceeds will support heritage education programs and the continued development of the D&L Trail, which, once fully connected, will become the longest multi-use trail in Pennsylvania, stretching over 165 miles from Wilkes-Barre to Bristol.

For those participating: The St. Luke’s D&L RaceFest EXPO will be held on November 11 from 10 AM - 4 PM at St. Luke’s West End Medical Center, 501 Cetronia Road.

There, you can pick up your bibs and shirts, visit booths from local health and wellness organizations, and even meet 2014 800m indoor world champion Chanelle Price.

There is also a Pasta Party taking place in the Arts Park on Saturday, November 11.
