State Police assist in search of occupants of stolen vehicle

WEST PENN TWP., Pa - According to a press release, Troopers were dispatched on Monday to the vicinity of Blue Mountain Drive, West Penn Township, Schuylkill County in response to a stolen vehicle that had crashed in the area. The occupants had fled the scene.


Troopers were advised of a stolen BMW 850i which had crashed in the area of Blue Mountain

Drive and the occupants of the vehicle had fled the scene.


Troopers from both Troop M and Troop L set up a large perimeter in the vicinity of State Route 309 / Blue Mountain Drive / Fort Franklin Road and were unable to locate the occupants of the vehicle, according to the news release.


Numerous agencies along with drones and K-9 Units assisted in the search.


At approximately 2:00 pm, an occupant of the vehicle was located and identified by law

enforcement.


This is an ongoing investigation.
