State Police investigate assault at Grandview Raceway

WASHINGTON TWP., Pa - State Police in Reading are investigating an altercation between two people at Grandview Raceway on Saturday evening, April 20.


Troopers responded to a fight in progress shortly after 7:30 pm and discovered a 17-year-old had allegedly been punched in the face by a 19-year-old man, according to the news release.


The suspect is identified as 19-year-old Dennis Schoenly, according to an article in Berks Weekly.


Grandview Raceway


Police say the fight occurred due to the victim playing a prank on Schoenly involving a truck hubcap, according to the article. Schoenly, upset over this act, subsequently confronted the victim over it. Schoenly then hit the Victim's face causing injury during an argument, according to the report.


The victim was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital for treatment of injuries suffered in the incident.


State Police continue to investigate. Charges to be filed against the actor.
