State Police looking for man who say stole wallets from stores in Lower Macungie, used victim's credit card to buy more than $2000 in gift cards

Lower Macungie Twp., Pa - The Pennsylvania State Police are seeking assistance from the public in identifying an individual who has been stealing wallets from various locations in the Lehigh Valley.


On Friday, February 23, 2024, at approximately 6:52 pm, Troopers responded to Target, located at 749 North Krocks Road in Lower Macungie Township for the report of a theft, according to a news release from the state police.


State Police say that at approximately 3:19 pm, the male stole the victim’s wallet from her purse while shopping at Costco Wholesale located at 791 North Krocks Road.

At approximately 3:27 pm, the male utilized the victim’s credit card by purchasing approximately $2,500 worth of Amex and Mastercard gift cards at Target, according to police.


The male was observed leaving the parking lot in the pictured white SUV.


The male is suspected of committing similar incidents at the following locations:


9/08/23: Wallet was stolen in Costco in Lower Macungie Township

2/03/24: Wallet was stolen in Walmart in Lower Macungie Township

2/16/24: Wallet was stolen in Walmart in Lower Macungie Township
