The first Wawa Drive-thru in the Lehigh Valley opens in Lower Macungie Twp.

LOWER MACUNGIE TWP., Pa. The first Wawa Drive-Thru location opened today in the Lehigh Valley, and it's the second in Pennsylvania.

This morning, a ribbon-cutting celebration was held at the 6216 Hamilton Boulevard Location in Lower Macungie Township.

The Wawa Drive-thru offers "fresh food on the fly", according to the Delaware County-based convenience store chain, and is fully equipped to quickly serve

fresh, built-to-order breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Today, Macungie Ambulance Corps had the opportunity to be part of the new Wawa Drive-Thru celebration. Their crews participated in the Hoagies for Hero’s hoagie-building contest and won! (see photo below)
