Tractor-trailer fire closes one northbound lane of the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Carbon County

CARBON COUNTY, Pa. - According to Channel 69 News, a tractor-trailer fire has closed one northbound lane of the Pennsylvania Turnpike at mile marker 82.5.


The fire was reported around 11 am by Carbon County Communications.



Franklin Township firefighters found the truck fully involved in flames, according to WFMZ News.


WFMZ says that the truck operator's quick thinking saved the trailer by disconnecting it from the burning truck.


Pennsylvania state police at Pocono are investigating the incident.
