A voluntary conservation notice has been issued as of 8 am Sunday for customers in all Blue Mountain and Nazareth to reduce water usage, according to a notice from Pennsylvania American Water.

The notice states the following:

We ask that you voluntarily limit all non-essential water use until further notice.

Please use the following schedule for outdoor watering needs.

If your street address contains an even number, please water on even-numbered dates.

If your street address contains an odd number, please water on odd-numbered dates.

When conditions improve, customers will be notified when the conservation notice is lifted.

If you are a landlord and water service is in your name, please inform your tenants so they are aware of this impact to their water service. Thank you for your cooperation in restricting water use until this notice is lifted.
