Water main break closes streets in Allentown Wednesday

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Update - The road is now open, according to Lehigh County Authority.
A water main break sent water rushing down a street in Allentown on Wednesday.
The Lehigh County Authority said that a 12-inch water main broke in the area of 13th and Liberty streets.
Water was seen rushing up against the sides of buildings.
It's uncertain if the buildings have any water damage.
According to the City of Allentown,13th Street between Gordon and Liberty will be closed overnight as Lehigh County Authority crews respond to the water main break in the area.
Repairs are underway to isolate and fix the break.
Residents nearby may experience low water pressure or temporary service interruptions during the repair process.
Please avoid the area and follow posted detours while crews work to restore service safely.
