Widespread sub-freezing temperatures and frost likely to end the growing season for our region

Widespread sub-freezing temperatures and frost development tonight will likely end the growing season for our region, according to the National Weather Service. Freeze Warnings and Frost Advisories are in effect.

Subfreezing temperatures as low as 26 are expected for portions of Delaware, the eastern shores of Maryland, New Jersey, and southeast Pennsylvania from midnight tonight to 10 am EDT Thursday, according to the NWS.

Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.

Remember to protect your pets from the cold and bring any sensitive plants indoors.
