ASHLAND, Pa. - Police in Schuylkill County have identified the person who died after an ATV accident Wednesday night.
According to Ashland police, Beth Yost, age 37, of Butler Township, was pronounced dead around 8 p.m. in the 300 block of N. Ninth Street in Ashland.
A witness told police that she had been driving an ATV uphill in a wooded area behind the Ashland Post Office when the ATV tipped backward and rolled down the hill on top of her.
The witness and emergency responders quickly provided medical care but she tragically passed away at the scene, according to police.
The Schuylkill County Coroner's Office was subsequently contacted.
