91-year-old man dies as a result of crash between an SUV and tractor-trailer in Lower Macungie Twp.

L. MACUNGIE TWP., Pa. - A 91-year-old man from North Whitehall Township has died as a result of a crash involving an SUV and tractor-trailer on Monday, January 22.


The accident took place at approximately 10:40 am in the area of State Route 222 at Kressler Road in Lower Macungie Township, Lehigh County.


Mr. Millman was pronounced dead at 2:15 pm at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, according to the Lehigh County Coroner, Daniel Buglio. The cause of death was blunt force injuries to his chest due to a motor vehicle collision and the manner of death was ruled an accident.


Originally it was reported that the driver and passenger of the SUV were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.


The truck driver was not hurt.

In addition to the coroner's office, the Pennsylvania State Police-Fogelsville Station and the Lehigh County District Attorney's Office are investigating.


Witnesses of the crash are asked to contact PSP.
