Centre County falconer reunited with his red-tailed hawk

CENTRE COUNTY, Pa- A missing red-tailed hawk is back.

On Monday, falconer Francis Gray requested the public's assistance in trying to track down his beloved bird, a blonde-colored, female hawk.

The bird was in flight when a gust of wind carried it high into the sky, causing the bird and the falconer to lose sight of each other.

The lost red-tailed hawk still had equipment and bells attached to its ankles.

Thankfully, they have been reunited.

Falconry birds are used for hunting, and they occasionally escape.

A special shout out to Robyn Graboski at Centre wildlife care, Pet recovery of Centre county, 6 WJAC News and everyone who shared in the recovery of my lost bird. THANK YOU ALL"..... sincerely, the Gray Family.
