Lehigh Valley BBQ in Easton permanently closes due to roof collapse, in need of community's help

GO FUND ME

Lehigh Valley BBQ located at 154 Northampton Street in Easton, PA is permanently closed according to a post on their facebook page Monday. Their kitchen roof collapsed under pressure due to torrential rains and flooding, according to the post. Their building is in need of serious repairs and they have been forced to close indefinitely.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, uncertainties, and unexpected financial burden, they are in need of the community's assistance. A Go Fund Me has been set up.

The following is the announcement on their facebook page:

It’s with an extremely heavy heart & sadness that we have to inform you all that Lehigh Valley BBQ is now permanently closed at 154 Northampton Street, Easton PA 18042.

As you all know from our Facebook post yesterday, our restaurant kitchen roof collapsed under pressure due to the torrential rains & floods. Upon further inspection from city officials & the board of health, it was determined to be much worse than expected. The building is in need of serious repairs, other than those due to the rain, & we have been forced to close indefinitely.

We want to assure all of our customers who have previously placed catering orders with us that we are in the works of securing a temporary, local, inspected commercial kitchen so we can still honor & fulfill all orders as promised. We will be reaching out to everyone in regards to their orders this week!

Due to the unforeseen circumstances, uncertainties & unexpected financial burden this has caused, we are in desperate need of our community’s assistance. This was not an easy decision by far & took a lot for us to set our pride aside as we’d much rather be on the giving end than receiving.

In addition to relocating, we now have to remove all of our equipment & supplies out of 154 Northampton st., secure storage space & continue to pay our employee(s). Without our Brick & Mortar & weekly retail food sales to pay for those expenses, it would be an extreme hardship to afford to permanently relocate as any secured commercial kitchen space rented now is only temporary.

We are setting up a GoFundMe & sincerely appreciate any assistance you all can provide. No donation is too small. If you are unable donate we completely understand & kindly ask that you please share on our behalf.

As always, we are forever grateful to all our friends, families & this wonderful community we call home. We wouldn’t be able to do what we love without y’all. We sincerely appreciate everyone’s continued love, prayers & support. We’ll be back to serving y’all the BEST Texas BBQ this side of the Lehigh Valley that y’all have come to know & love before you know it.

All our love & sincerest gratitude,

Chris & Megan D’Imperio & all of Lehigh Valley BBQ.
