The Pennsylvania primary election is underway in the Lehigh Valley

Have you been out to vote?

The Pennsylvania 2024 primary election is underway today and polls are open until 8:00 pm.

If you’re in line when polls close, you can still vote.

A headline race today in the Lehigh Valley is the Republican primary for the party's nomination to challenge U.S. Rep. Susan Wild in the 7th Congressional District. On the Democratic side, Pennsylvania state Rep. Bob Freeman is facing Easton City Councilwoman, Taiba Sultana.

Four-term incumbent Republican Zachary Mako is facing a primary challenge from Zachari Halkias. Zachari is a 22-year-old member of Slatington Borough Council and requested an interview with What's going on in the Lehigh Valley. Joseph Lenzi of Northampton is the only candidate seeking the Democratic nomination in the 183rd.

If you are not sure where your polling place is, the Pennsylvania state department has an online polling-place lookup tool and other information can be found at Vote.Pa.gov.

Please make sure to get out and vote.
