Pilot dead after plane crashes in Hunterdon County, New Jersey

ALEXANDRIA TWP., N.J. - A pilot has died following a plane crash in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, on Friday afternoon.
The crash was confirmed by New Jersey State Police and occurred in Alexandria Township.
It was earlier reported by emergency dispatchers.

An official from Alexandria Field Airport said that the pilot was the sole occupant of the plane.
The crash took place near the airport, with numerous units and agencies responding to the incident.
The cause of the crash remains unknown.
The pilot's identity has not yet been disclosed.
